Remembering Rorke’s Drift Please join us at St Mary’s on Friday 11th October 2019, 7pm - 8.30pm,for a  fundraising talk given by world renowned author, historian and storyteller Rob Caskie, on the historic story of the dramatic defence of a small missionary hospital at Rorke’s Drift in South Africa. On that heroic night, 23 January 1879, 11 Victoria Crosses were awarded, and Rob will tell the story of the courage and resourcefulness of men on both sides of the battle.
