Holy Hour for the Holy Father      28 February 2013

On Thursday evening at 1900 hrs London time as his resignation became effective, the Parish held a Holy Hour to give thanks for the Papacy of His Holiness Benedict XVI, to pray for him in the future and for the election of a new Pontiff.

Almost 100 parishioners were present during the hour of Eucharistic Adoration which opened with the singing of the Latin Plainchant Prayer for the Pope -- the last time it will be heard for this Pope. The Silence that followed was interspersed with Chants sung by the Taizé Group. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament followed and the hour completed with the singing of the Solemn 'Te Deum' by the Latin Choir.
