ASH WEDNESDAY: Begin Lent well.
The School Mass is celebrated in the school hall at 9.30am.
There are two Masses for Parishioners
at 12 noon and 6.30pm. Receive the Holy Sign of Ashes on your forehead as a mark of your willingness to undertake the disciplines of Lent for the love of God.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS:
This devotion will take place on:
Wednesday at 3.45pm (children with parents)
Friday at 7pm Leaflets are available to assist you with this Lenten devotion.
PRAYER BEFORE THE BLESSED SACRAMENT: Every Wednesday from 11am – 12 noon and from 5.30pm – 6.30pm the Blessed Sacrament is exposed for adoration. Come and spend some time with the Lord.
The Church is open everyday from 8am until 7pm.
SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: Why not keep a good Lent by making your confession? A priest will be available on the following days:
Saturday 10.30am – 11am
5.45pm – 6.15pm
Sunday 6pm – 6.20pm
SHARING OUR FAITH: On Sundays from 7.30pm you are invited to join one of the priests in the Rectory’s St Thomas More Room as we study the ““Amazing Grace” Diocesan booklet which helps us explore our relationship with God. It looks at our understanding of mercy, sin and forgiveness.
In the School on Fridays at 9am, Canon Stuart will lead a group in the Music Hall.
DAILY MEDITATION: As a parish, we are going to use the booklet Day by Day. Each day there is a meditation for us to use. We simply need to set aside five minutes. Why not determine to make a daily visit to the Blessed Sacrament and do the meditation there? A version for Children is also available.
