Catachesis Programmes

The current year
Programme Of Catechesis
is underway:

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION: The closing date for receipt of applications was Weds 21 September

LAUNCH PAD: Children aged 6 and/or in Year 2 and First Holy Communion (children 7+ and or in Year 3)
began on Saturday 24th September at 9am.

JOURNEY IN FAITH: Designed for those who want to join the Catholic Church as well as those who want to
receive the Sacrament of Confirmation as an adult began on 5th October.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION COURSE: Next session starts on Tuesday 31st January.

CONFIRMATION: The course will not commence until January 2012. Application forms for all courses are at
the back of church. Please collect and return them to the office.

Saturday Mornings

SATURDAY MORNING TALKS

These recommenced Saturday 24th September. 
We are very glad to welcome to the Parish
once again Fr Michael and Fr Sergio from the Legionaries of Christ. Once again we invite you to attend the excellent talks given by them.

Every Second Thursday

TAIZE PRAYER

St. Mary's young community meets for
Ecumenical Taize Evening Prayer.
Come pray with us and afterwards join us for a tea in the rectory kitchen.
Bring something to share if you wish.
The prayer session will be held every second Thursday at 1930hrs in the Bownes Room.
Entrance from Draycott Terrace

The Taize Prayer Group sessions resume on
Thurs 26 Jan at 1930hrs.

Other sessions are scheduled for: 
9th February,  23th February,
8th March, and 22nd  March

This prayer group is open to everyone so if you are free, please come and join the group.

PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

This resumed on Tuesday, 13 September 2011 in the
Rectory.
The playgroup session is every Tuesday during term time from 10am to 11:30pm for infants to three years.

The cost is £2 per family which includes coffee,
biscuits, music and age-appropriate toys.
It is a wonderful way to meet other parents in
the community. Please do come along!
Also, we are looking for a leader who is willing
to supervise the sessions.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Do any of our parishioners have some spare time to come
and help with an increasing load of work in our parish office.
You do not need specialist training but if
anyone has knowledge of Access or Excel that would be a great boon. Please call Ruby on
